We use part of our income to support projects aiming to develop solutions to complex, growing social and environmental challenges, so that we can actively participate in initiatives to mobilize associations and citizens.
The cultural project Chão de Acolher has created Chãozinho, which is a cultural center that provides education and support for children in Povoado da Barrinha, located in the state of Piauí (northeast of Brazil). The project aims to protect and help an underprivileged community. It develops a socio-environmental education and awakes in children the perceptions linked to their roots and local values. Through extracurricular classes in clay crafts, popular art, sustainability and permaculture, children learn and live new experiences. The project is coordinated by Monique Pedroso Berjeaut, who has already developed social work with Fundação Abrinq/SP and Projeto Axé/BA.
